Compass has a range of clients ranging from the large scale government organisations through to small teams of individuals's who wish to prepare themselves for the challenges ahead.

Leadership and Motivational techniques - Many IPTs within the Defence Procurement Agency invest in comprehensive team development programmes. Notably, the FsAST IPT embarked upon a short programme to further integrate a key function of the wider team into the organisation. The main topics of this intervention included problem solving and leadership which were achieved in a diverse environment using the sea as a vehicle.

Team Building and Leadership development - Many people have attempted to complete a challenge for charity - but imagine the first challenge, to get a diverse team of people together from around the globe, identify their individual strengths and weaknessess, build a working foundation for the team and develop the leader to become the one person that would motivate the others in times of great stress, deal with conflict amongst the team and all under arduous conditions. This was the challenge we faced but delivered a programme which allowed the Tropic of Cancer Challenge team to discover their true selfs.

The sea is a challenging environment and many formal courses prepare you for it. But how do you develop your soft skills to firstly lead a team of already highly motivated individuals and then select key members knowing that this process which will mean a huge disappointment for some very talented people. We were given this challenge by one skipper and rose to the occassion by developing his soft skills areas were he could use new found techniques to offer a fair and unbiased assessment of people through effective communications skills.
